Barbara Kofman CHRP, CMF
Barbara Kofman, Principal of CareerTrails, has a passion for enabling individuals and organizations to resolve their career-related challenges. She honed her expertise while working in senior roles in Human Resources, Outplacement, and Consulting where she developed a reputation as an excellent communicator and a results-oriented facilitator with strong analytical skills and a natural ability to motivate and coach.
Her experience has included:
- facilitating and delivering workshops
- providing one-to-one career coaching
- directing corporate career development, recruiting, and planning functions
- developing, implementing and overseeing state-of-the-art career transition programs and services
- driving large-scale projects such as corporate-wide surveys and new performance management systems
- implementing organizational development initiatives including visioning, repositioning and consolidating corporate businesses
- presenting at major conferences and via webinars
She has produced highly effective solutions for clients in the financial, educational and public sectors, and has taught at the university and college level. She is a sought after speaker, co-writes a monthly column for jobpostings - an international magazine aimed at University and College students - and has been quoted and interviewed for numerous publications including The Globe and Mail, Canadian HR Reporter, Chatelaine, and The Toronto Sun.
Barbara has her Masters in Public Administration, Bachelor of Education, and B.A.(Honours), all from Queen's University, is a CHRP (Certified Human Resources Professional), CMF (Certified Career Management Fellow, the highest level), and is qualified to deliver a number of psychometric assessment tools.
In addition to running her business, Barbara is extremely active within the community as a member of the Board of Directors for the Toronto chapter of ACP International and as a mentor at the Rotman School of Management.
