Barbara Kofman CHRP, CMF

Barbara KofmanBarbara came to the career management field after extensive experience in both the private and public sectors. There she gained a reputation for excellence in a variety of areas including career management, strategic human resources, and organizational development. She is known as a superb communicator and a results-oriented facilitator with strong analytical skills and the ability to motivate and coach.

Before concentrating on the field of career management, Barbara held a number of senior management and consulting positions within the financial and public sectors. Her experience has included:

  • facilitating and delivering workshops
  • providing one-to-one career coaching
  • directing corporate career development and recruiting functions
  • developing, implementing and overseeing state-of-the-art career transition programs and services
  • driving large-scale projects such as corporate-wide surveys and new performance management systems
  • implementing organizational development initiatives including visioning, repositioning and consolidating corporate businesses
  • presenting at major conferences and via webinars

Barbara has worked in publishing and as a teacher; she has taught Career Management courses to University and Community College students and is a regular contributor to jobpostings Magazine

She has a Masters in Public Administration, an Honours BA in English, and a Bachelor of Education, all from Queen's University. She is a Certified Career Management Fellow Manager (CMF, the highest level), Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP), and is qualified to deliver a number of psychometric assessment tools including MBTI.

In addition to running her business Barbara is extremely active within the community as a member of the Action Team for the Toronto chapter of ACP International as well as a mentor at the Rotman School of Management.
